

The Handmade Cyclist
We created an identity and brand strategy, rooted in cycling culture, for established off-bike lifestyle brand The Handmade Cyclist. Balancing luxury fashion with sport, the new identity closer aligns the brand with the quality of their products, and future-proofs them for their next chapter.




We conducted an in-depth process to establish Handmade’s core values and brand personality, summing up the brand position with as ‘Off-bike goods for on-bike culture.’ We crafted a timeless hand-painted Heron logo that would stand the test of time and flex adeptly between digital and physical applications.





A simple colour pallet, with bold, athletic accents was paired with classic, refined typography to form the core of our identity.

Translated into Handmade’s e-commerce platform, the identity and brand voice provide a rich and visually engaging website experience that highlights the quality of the products.
Alongside the rebrand, we expanded The Handmade Cyclist’s core clothing collection, updating their popular items and creating ‘The Escape’, a new core capsule collection.





The collection celebrates cycling holidays and bike tours, taking visual reference from kitsch holiday souvenirs and iconic destinations. To launch the collection, we created a suite of imagery that best showed off the products, whilst telling the story of a summer escape. The shoot further embraced the nostalgic charm of camp holiday keepsakes and travel memories.




With an extensive range of outputs and touchpoints, spanning e-commerce, marketing, print, clothing design and art direction, the rebrand solidifies The Handmade Cycling as a leading cycling lifestyle brand.
OUR IMPACT
We’ve worked with a few external designers in the past and to be honest we operate in such a specific niche that it’s never quite felt truly authentic. This feels different, Conductor have always ‘got us’ and deeply understand our customers and how we believe Handmade Cyclist will grow.
